MAGENTA WOOD

Day 20 - 30 in 30

MAGENTA WOOD
ORIGINAL ART ACEO 2.5" x 3.5"

This painting is SOLD but I'm happy to take a commission for a similar work. Contact me to inquire about prints and Art cards.

This painting captures that moment between day and night when light reflected off snow gives the impression of daylight but the ravines are already deep in velvety night.

I remember these hills in the summer with bees buzzing and crickets chirping but now all is silent with that hush only snow can bring. A blazing fire and a mug of hot cider is waiting as I head home through the ever darkening night.

Tip: When painting a snow scene bring a little warmth to the palette in a few places. It doesnt have to be much but it turns a cold scene into something welcoming.
